 Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998) also known as MrBeast is an American YouTube personality an entrepreneur, philanthropist and entrepreneur. [6] He has been credited with pioneering a genre of YouTube videos that centers on expensive stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson began posting videos to YouTube in early 2012 at the age of 13, under the name "MrBeast6000" and his initial videos ranged from "Let's Plays" to "videos estimating the riches of other YouTubers." He went viral in 2017 after his "counting up to 100,000" video racked up hundreds of thousands of views in a matter of days, and he has grown in popularity ever since, with the majority of his videos earning thousands of views.Over time his style of content expanded to include donation and challenge videos that award millions of dollars, video involving arduous tasks or survival challenges as well as original videos. When his channel began to gain traction, Donaldson hired several of his former classmates to run the growing business. MrBeast, Donaldson's main YouTube channel with over 100 million users was launched in 2022.
